Visual Arts Forum - Artists
Rod Perkins
Much of my inspiration comes from the changing moods of nature and from the textures and 'hidden' shapes found in natural forms such as tree bark and rocks. I paint both representational and semi-abstract landscapes and seascapes in styles that are still emerging. I enjoy experimenting with a variety of techniques and bases to add texture and interest to my finished paintings. My style is still emerging and has been influenced by the late John Blockley, Michael Morgan and, more recently, by Kurt Jackson.
