Malcolm Wilcox - Mixed Media

In my paintings I try to capture the atmosphere, the diffused light and colour of the landscape through the use of minimal expressive marks, almost like a glimpse. I used mixed media, including water colour, gesso, gouache, acrylic and collage.

Trained at Croydon School of Art and The Royal College of Art as an illustrator & graphic designer. Worked in advertising briefly. Moved to Plymouth and set up a graphics studio for Westward TV. Lectured at Birmingham Polytechnic. Set up design/manufacturing company Sari Fabrics in Leamington Spa.

Exhibits with Blockley Art Society and the Helios Group and Westcroft Gallery in Kingsand Cornwall.
