Joy Wilcox

I am inspired by colour, rhythms and energy of light movement on the landscape and in cities. I have spent many years life painting and the figure has been a strong influence in recent work. In my monoprints I try to express the emotions and strengths in the human form.

CV

Trained at Kingston on Thames and Croydon College of Art. Set up a cottage industry making printed ragdolls. Received Design Centre Award. Lectured in Birmingham Polytechnic in Fashion and Textiles. Set up design/manufacturing company Sari Fabrics in Leamington Spa.
