Heather Bailey - Mixed Media

Heather was born in Scotland. She is a contemporary Mixed Media artist with a studio in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire.

The inspiration for her paintings comes from her Scottish roots and her love of the dramatic, rugged and mountainous landscape of the highlands and islands of the west of Scotland,

Her emerging style tends towards heavily textured Acrylics, using a limited palette with semi-abstract shapes and vibrant colour, trying to balance the emotional and thoughtful response to what she sees and feels.

She gets very excited at the start of each new journey aiming to capture the textures, shapes and form of the land and succeeds in creating images both simple and complex.
