Clare Moorman - Oil and Mosaics
Oil painting and mosaics are my preferred medium. I am strongly influenced by pattern, balancing shapes and colour to produce harmony.
I am inspired by natural shapes within a still life setting for my 2-dimensional work - flowers, leaves, fruits etc. I love to arrange the objects in order to produce compositions of different patterns, shapes, colours and textures.
Mosaics is a medium that is conducive to exploring patterns and colour. My inspiration comes from organising many different textures and colours to decorate 3-dimensional shapes.
